| Customer Reviews: Disappointed August 6, 2010 B. Sade I first inserted this product to my Garmin GPS prior to my trip to see what the map had to offer. I thought that the map details in major cities and provinces were reasonable. Then I put it aside, and brought it to Turkey. The first time I attempted to use it in Turkey, the map did not even show up in the map info. Provinces of Istanbul and Izmir consisted of one single highway each, and no other roads of any kind! The next few attempts were not any different... In summary, I had high hopes when I purchased it, and ended up being very, very dissapointed...
Useful only 1/2 of the time June 11, 2010 Laird R. Edman (Orange City, Iowa, USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We just spent two weeks driving over 2500 km through Western Turkey using the Turkey maps in our Garmin GPS unit. About 1/2 the time the maps were accurate and very useful. About 1/4 of the time the maps were inaccurate and out of date--new Highways were not on the maps and the GPS wanted to take us on mediocre routes because it did not have the new Highways. And about 1/4 of the time it simply didn't have any roads at all--for example, it had NO roads in Cappadocia. This was remarkable, since this is a main tourist destination with many roads and important routes.
So the maps desperately need updating. We would not have been able to get around if we had not also had other road maps and google-maps print outs to help us. The Turkey maps were a disappointment.
